Marc and The Mambas were a post-punk band formed in London in 1978. The band was led by Marc Almond, who would later go on to front the more successful band Soft Cell. Marc and The Mambas' music was characterized by its dark, brooding atmosphere and Almond's distinctive vocals. The band released several albums in the early 1980s, including "Three Black Nights of Little Black Bites" and "Torment And Toreros," before disbanding in 1983.
