Yuri Juárez

Yuri Juárez is a Peruvian guitarist and composer known for blending traditional Afro-Peruvian music with jazz and other contemporary styles. Originally from Lima, he began his musical journey with rock and blues, later diving deep into the rich traditions of Peruvian música criolla and Afro-Peruvian rhythms. His versatile guitar work often weaves flamenco, jazz, and Latin American folk influences into a unique and expressive sound.

Juárez has collaborated with a wide range of artists, both in Peru and internationally, and his projects often highlight the cultural depth and rhythmic complexity of Afro-Peruvian music. His album "Tangolandó," created with singer Lucia Pulido, explores the intersections of tango and Afro-Peruvian rhythms.
