Les Musiciens de Provence is a French ensemble dedicated to the performance of medieval and Renaissance music from the Provence region of southeastern France. The group was founded in 1975 by flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal and lutenist Robert Veyron-Lacroix, and has since become one of the leading exponents of this repertoire. Les Musiciens de Provence's performances are characterized by their authenticity and vitality, and they have been praised for their ability to bring the music of the past to life. The group has released numerous recordings, including "Musique des trouvères et des troubadours," "L'art du psaltérion," and "Les musiciens de Provence, vol.2 (Flûtes provençales)."
