Tubelord

Tubelord was an English alternative rock band, specifically part of the math pop scene, formed in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. The band was active from around 2005 to 2012 and consisted of core members Joseph Prendergast (now known as Joey Fourr) and David Catmur. During their career, they released several notable albums and EPs, including *Our First American Friends* in 2009, *Tezcatlipōca* in 2010, and *Romance* in 2011. Their music was characterized by its unique blend of math rock and pop elements, often featuring complex rhythms and catchy hooks. Tubelord gained recognition for their energetic live performances and were part of a vibrant DIY music scene in the UK.

After the band disbanded in 2012, the members pursued different paths. Joseph Prendergast continued to create music under the name Joey Fourr, while David Catmur transitioned into roles such as tour management and flight instruction. Tubelord's legacy remains significant in the math rock and indie music communities, with their debut album *Our First American Friends* being reissued by Alcopop Records, highlighting its enduring influence on the genre.
