Tofiq Quliyev is an Azerbaijani tar player and composer. He is known for his virtuosic playing and his innovative compositions, which often blend traditional Azerbaijani music with elements of jazz and classical music. Quliyev has performed and recorded with many of the world's leading musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma, Daniel Barenboim, and the Kronos Quartet. He is also a respected educator, and he has taught at the Baku Music Academy and the Berklee College of Music.
