Professor Wouassa is a Cameroonian bassist, composer, and producer who has been active in the music scene for over two decades. Known for his innovative and eclectic style, Wouassa blends traditional African rhythms with elements of jazz, funk, and rock. His music is characterized by its infectious grooves, intricate basslines, and thought-provoking lyrics that often explore social and political issues.
Wouassa has released several critically acclaimed albums and has toured extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and North America. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Manu Dibango, Youssou N'Dour, and Salif Keita. In addition to his musical career, Wouassa is also a professor of music at the University of Yaoundé I.
