Ainulindale is a one-man black metal project from Finland. The project was started in 2005 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist V. Santura, who is also known for his work with the bands Moonsorrow and Barathrum. Ainulindale's music is characterized by its atmospheric and melodic sound, which often incorporates elements of folk and classical music. The lyrics are typically inspired by Finnish mythology and history. Ainulindale has released four full-length albums to date, the most recent of which is "The Lay of Leithian" (2022).
