SUPER JUNIOR-M

SUPER JUNIOR-M is a Mandopop sub-unit of the popular South Korean boy band SUPER JUNIOR, formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The “M” stands for “Mandarin,” as the group was created specifically to target the Chinese music market. The original lineup included members Han Geng, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Henry, and Zhou Mi. SUPER JUNIOR-M quickly gained attention for blending catchy Mandarin-language pop with impressive choreography and the polished production style typical of K-pop.

Their debut album, 迷 (Me), was released in 2008 and marked a strong entry into the Chinese music scene. Follow-up releases like Super Girl and 太完美 (Perfection) helped solidify their popularity across Asia. With a mix of native Chinese-speaking members and Korean members trained in Mandarin, SUPER JUNIOR-M bridged language and cultural gaps, creating a niche that resonated with a broad audience. Though the group has seen some lineup changes and periods of reduced activity, they remain a beloved and influential act within the SM Entertainment family and the wider Mandopop sphere.
