Gemma New is a dynamic and fast-rising conductor known for her passionate interpretations and versatility across classical and contemporary repertoire. Originally from New Zealand, she has made a name for herself on the international stage, serving as the Artistic Advisor and Principal Conductor of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra in Canada. She's also made guest appearances with top orchestras like the Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, where she previously held the title of Resident Conductor.
