Mercromina

Mercromina was a Spanish indie rock band that emerged from the vibrant music scene of Albacete during the 1990s. The group was formed in 1995 by former members of Surfin' Bichos, a seminal band in the Spanish indie movement. They include Joaquín Pascual (vocals, guitar, keyboards), José Manuel Mora (bass, guitar), and Carlos Cuevas (drums). Mercromina's sound was marked by a distinctive combination of rock and experimental pop with an emphasis on poetic lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes.

Over the course of their decade-long career, Mercromina released several albums that left a notable imprint on Spain's alternative music landscape. Albums such as "Hulahop" and "Bingo" showcased their ability to craft evocative melodies and emotionally rich compositions, securing their position among influential bands of their time. With "Canciones de Andar por Casa" and "Desde la Montaña Más Alta del Mundo," they demonstrated their versatility, blending various genres and further refining their sound. The band's later work, which include "1995 - 2005" and "Ciencia Ficción (Versión 2015)," not only cemented their legacy but displayed an ever-evolving artistry that extended beyond their initial heyday. Although Mercromina disbanded in 2005, their music continues to resonate with fans and retains its relevance in the Spanish indie music narrative.
