Eli Superflyy is the musical project of Eli Chamberlain, a Wellington-based artist with roots in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Growing up with guitar and drum lessons from a young age, Eli was inspired early on to write his own songs rather than just learn others'. After earning a music degree from Massey University and gaining experience as a session and touring musician with notable local acts like Riiki Reid, Eli crafted a distinct indie and post-punk sound. His debut album, *Motor*, produced by Steven Marr, showcases a darker and more experimental tone influenced by artists such as King Krule and Arctic Monkeys. Tracks like "No No" have gained recognition through platforms like NZ On Air Music’s NewTracks compilation.
Eli's musical journey began in childhood, forming his first band in primary school and continuing to develop his style through high school and university years. Known for blending indie-psych elements with raw, emotive lyricism, his recent releases include singles such as "Vicar," which reflect his introspective approach to songwriting and his knack for crafting compelling melodies with a low-key yet intense vibe. Eli Superflyy continues to make waves in the New Zealand music scene with his authentic sound and engaging live performances.
