Birding is an indie folk band from Portland, Oregon. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Jesse Lortz, bassist and vocalist Sarah Lund, and drummer and vocalist Kevin O'Connor. Birding's music is characterized by its lush harmonies, intricate arrangements, and introspective lyrics. The band has released three albums, "From the Sound Garden" (2016), "Marsha" (2018), and "Shy on the Inside" (2020). Their latest single, "Crying," was released in 2022. Birding has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with artists such as Bon Iver, The National, and Sufjan Stevens.
