Sawyer Brown

Sawyer Brown is an American country music band formed in 1981 in Apopka, Florida. Initially gaining fame as the winners of the television competition show "Star Search" in 1983, the group capitalized on their exposure and signed with Capitol Records shortly thereafter. The band's members include Mark Miller (lead vocals), Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard (keyboards), Shayne Hill (lead guitar), Joe Smyth (drums), and Jim Scholten (bass guitar). Throughout their career, their upbeat brand of country music, harmonious vocals, and charismatic performances have endeared them to a broad audience.

Over the years, Sawyer Brown has enjoyed significant commercial success with hits like "Step That Step," "Some Girls Do," and "Thank God for You." Their catalog boasts more than 20 studio albums and a slew of chart-topping singles, making them a mainstay in the country music scene. The band's work ethic and relentless touring have solidified their reputation as one of the genre's most enduring and energetic live acts. The albums "Can You Hear Me Now" and "Drive Me Wild" are exemplary of the group's ability to evolve with the times while maintaining the heartfelt storytelling and vibrant melodies that have become their hallmark. Through both challenges and triumphs, Sawyer Brown's authenticity and dedication to their craft have secured their place in the annals of country music.
