Augie Haas is a highly accomplished jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator based in New York City. Originally from Milwaukee, he earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of the Performing Arts, followed by a Master’s and a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Known as one of the most in-demand trumpet players in NYC, Augie has performed with renowned artists and ensembles including Harry Connick, Jr., The Maria Schneider Orchestra, The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, The Gil Evans Project, and Broadway productions, notably serving as a regular member of the orchestra for the Broadway show *Aladdin*.
In addition to his work as a performer, Augie is also a prolific recording artist with multiple albums released under his own label, Playtime Music. His discography includes titles such as *The Llama*, *Doing It Augie Style*, *Endless*, *Have We Met?*, *Dream A Little Dream*, and several children’s albums like *Baby Jazz* and *The Dreamer* series. Beyond music, he authored the instructional book *Build Your Range* for trumpet and trombone, which has gained international recognition.
