U2

U2 is an Irish rock band, formed in 1976 in Dublin. Its members consist of Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion). The band started with a post-punk edge but soon grew to incorporate influences from many genres of popular music. Throughout their career, U2 has consistently been known for their expressive, socially and politically conscious lyrics married to stirring melodies, and they have maintained a unique sound that has kept them at the forefront of the rock music scene for decades.

The band has won numerous awards over their extensive career, including 22 Grammy Awards, and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some of their most influential and popular albums include "The Joshua Tree," "Achtung Baby," and "All That You Can't Leave Behind." In 2022, they celebrated the 30th anniversary of "Achtung Baby" with a special edition release. U2 remains culturally relevant, contributing "Your Song Saved My Life" to the animated feature film "Sing 2." As active philanthropists, especially Bono, they are also well-known for their activism in human rights and social justice causes. With their latest project, "Songs Of Surrender," U2 continues to showcase their ability to reinterpret their music, demonstrating the timeless quality of their artistry and the depth of their catalog.
