Formed in 1991, they blended brutal death metal with grindcore ferocity, earning a cult following for demos like *Anatomy* (1993) and collaborations with peers. Despite their underground influence, the band went on hiatus in 1996 before roaring back to life in 2013. Since reuniting, they’ve unleashed fresh chaos with releases like the 2015 album *Sanguis in Oris* and EPs like *Mature Necropsy* (2017), staying true to their signature gore-soaked themes and surgical-precise riffing. Known for macabre lyrics and relentless energy, Putrid Offal remains a gritty pillar of French extremity.
