Hrizg

Hrizg is a one-man black metal band from Cantabria, Spain. The name "Hrizg" is derived from Orcish, meaning "pain." This solo project is known for its cold, misanthropic black metal style, drawing influences from early Swedish and Norwegian black metal scenes, as well as Southern European acts like Moonspell and Rotting Christ. Hrizg's music is characterized by its dark and technical sound, often compared to bands like Burzum and early Darkthrone. The band has released several albums, including "Inferno" and "Anthems to Decrepitude," which have garnered varied reactions from critics, ranging from praise for their mastery to criticism for lacking atmosphere.

Hrizg's creative process is highly individualistic, with the artist handling all aspects of music production, from writing to recording and producing. This approach reflects the band's emphasis on personal expression and artistic control. Despite being part of a relatively underrepresented black metal scene in Spain, Hrizg has managed to make a mark with its distinctive sound and has been signed to Moribund Records, a label that supports the band's unique style and vision.
