Union Avenue

Union Avenue is a rockabilly band based in Bloomington, Illinois. Founded in August 2021, the group aims to bring authentic rockabilly music to audiences. The band consists of Christopher Myers on lead vocals and electric guitar, Steve Knecht on upright slap bass, and Derek Spring on drums.

Union Avenue has performed at various events and venues, including the Bruegala 2021 Craft Beer festival, Make Music Normal music festival, and as an opening act for Wayne "The Train" Hancock. They focus on energetic performances that showcase the vibrant sound of 1950s rockabilly, along with jump blues and early country music. The band is known for their authentic vintage look and sound, with Myers often performing in period-appropriate 1950s clothing.
