7 Year Bitch

7 Year Bitch was an all-female punk rock band that became a fierce presence in the music scene of the 1990s, particularly known for their raw energy and unabashed social commentary. Hailing from Seattle, Washington, the band was formed in 1990 by vocalist Selene Vigil, guitarist Stefanie Sargent, bassist Elizabeth Davis, and drummer Valerie Agnew. Their music, infused with the grunge movement's ethos that was burgeoning in Seattle at the time, was unapologetically confrontational and explored themes such as feminism, personal struggles, and societal issues.

Over the course of their career, 7 Year Bitch released three studio albums that cemented their legacy in the punk rock and riot grrrl movements. Their debut, "Sick'em," was released in 1992, followed by "Viva Zapata!" in 1994, which was a tribute to their friend and fellow musician Mia Zapata of The Gits, who was tragically murdered. Their final studio album, "Gato Negro," arrived in 1996, showcasing a matured sound that still retained their signature ferocity. Unfortunately, the band disbanded in 1997, following a farewell tour, leaving behind a potent discography that continues to inspire and energize fans and musicians alike.
