Matteo Curallo is an Italian musician, composer, and sound designer whose work blends classical training with pop, rock, and electronic influences, making him a versatile artist in both the film and theater worlds. Born in Asti in 1976, Curallo studied electronic music and composition at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica Giuseppe Verdi in Turin and later earned a degree in sound design from Brera Academy in Milan. He’s composed soundtracks for notable films and TV shows, including recent releases like PINK LADY, Under the Amalfi Sun, and Here We Are, showcasing his knack for crafting evocative, diverse scores.
Beyond film, Curallo has made significant contributions to theater, composing for productions that have toured Italy and France, and he’s recognized for his innovative integration of live electronic music with visual and movement arts—an approach that once earned his work a jury prize for its creativity and execution. Curallo also teaches sound design at Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, reflecting his ongoing commitment to both music education and creative experimentation.
