Chikune

Chikune, born Colleen Hedwig Tjikune on February 13, 1992, is a talented Afro-jazz and pop musician from Namibia. She has been passionate about music since a young age, showcasing her skills in church and at home. Chikune gained recognition in 2012 by winning the Senior Vocalist of the Year award at the World Championships of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Her music career has been marked by energetic live performances, including a notable appearance at the Namibia Annual Music Awards. Notably, Chikune is also a medical doctor, balancing her passion for music with her career in medicine.

Chikune's recent releases include "Mine," "Festus," "Ove," "Leo," "Omutima," and her album "Musuverua," which was released in 2020. Her music often explores themes of love, heartache, and personal growth, showcasing her ability to craft both lively and heartfelt songs. One of her notable collaborations is the remix of "Pieces" with Tanzanian artist Mbosso. Chikune's music blends African and Western influences, making her a rising star in the pop scene with a unique sound that resonates with audiences worldwide.
