The Hinky Punks

The Hinky Punks are a solo project that emerged in the early days of the wizard rock scene, around late 2006 or early 2007. The band's founder, Patrick, was inspired by bands like Harry and the Potters and Draco and the Malfoys, and he quickly became part of this vibrant community. The Hinky Punks are known for their eclectic style, which blends punk influences with the whimsy of wizard rock. One notable collaboration was with Kristina Horner from The Parselmouths on a project called The Broom Closet Diaries. The Hinky Punks released their first album, "A Wizard's Diary," on New Year's Day in 2007, which featured thirteen tracks and was later remastered.

Patrick, the driving force behind The Hinky Punks, has maintained the project mostly as a solo endeavor, though his sister has contributed vocals to some tracks. Despite not being a top-tier band in terms of touring or commercial success, The Hinky Punks have a dedicated following and are remembered fondly within the wizard rock community. The project has seen periods of hiatus, but its music remains available on streaming platforms, reflecting Patrick's focus on sharing his art rather than commercializing it.
