L'wei Netshivhale

L'wei Netshivhale is a multifaceted artist known for his work as a cultural activist, guitarist, music composer, singer, and recording artist. He hails from a musical family and was inspired by his father, a skilled multi-instrumentalist. L'wei's music combines Tshivenda indigenous music with African Jazz, creating a unique sound that blends traditional elements like Malende and Tshikona with contemporary styles. He has released two studio albums, with his debut album "Mudzimu Washu" receiving several nominations and awards, including wins at the Mzansi Gospel Awards and the INGOMA Awards. His second album, "#Lwenzhe lwa shango," also garnered nominations at the TSHIMA Awards and the SABC Crown Gospel Awards.

L'wei has represented South Africa internationally, performing in Cairo, Egypt, as part of a Youth in Arts program. He is also the founder of the Vhubvohanga Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting indigenous music and culture. His recent releases include "Vhangona," "Mvula," "Vivho," "Zwililo Zwa Vhakalaha," "Lihanya," "Ene Mune," "Kholomo Ya Musanda," and "Lwenzhe Lwa Shango," in addition to his earlier work "Mudzimu Washu." L'wei's contributions to music extend beyond performance, as he has also worked as a music lecturer, further solidifying his impact on the cultural landscape.
