Big Wreck

Big Wreck is a Canadian-American rock band that has carved a unique niche within the rock genre with their blend of hard rock, blues, and prog influences. Formed in the early 1990s, the band initially consisted of Ian Thornley (vocals/guitar), Brian Doherty (guitar), Dave Henning (bass), and Forrest Williams (drums). The band saw early success with their 1997 debut album, "In Loving Memory Of...", which featured the hit single "The Oaf", propelling them into the spotlight.

Despite disbanding in 2002 after the release of their second album, "The Pleasure and the Greed", Big Wreck reunited in 2010, marking a new chapter with Thornley at the helm. Since their reunion, the band has released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Albatross" (2012), which signified a strong comeback, and "Ghosts" (2014), further cementing their legacy in rock. Their musical evolution continued with their more recent projects, such as "Grace Street" (2017) and "…but for the sun" (2019), showcasing the band's knack for intricate guitar work and thoughtful lyrics. Hits like "Albatross" and "Ghosts" have become staples in their discography, demonstrating the band's lasting impact on the rock genre. Big Wreck’s ability to blend heavy guitar riffs with melodic songwriting has garnered them a dedicated following, making them a respected and influential name in rock music.
