Cindy Lansford

Cindy Lansford is a renowned music educator and band director, known for her extensive contributions to the field of music education. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and later earned a Master's degree in Educational Administration from East Texas State University. Throughout her career, she taught at various middle and high schools, including Robert E. Lee High School, Plano Senior High School, and North Ridge Middle School. Her bands achieved significant recognition at local, state, and national levels, with notable performances at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. After retiring from public school teaching in 2007, she transitioned into freelance work as a band consultant, clinician, and adjudicator, impacting numerous programs across the country.

Cindy Lansford has received several awards for her contributions, including the Meritorious Achievement Award from the Texas Bandmasters Association in 2008. She is a past president of the Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Mu and serves on the Hall of Fame Committee. In 2021, she was inducted into the Phi Beta Mu Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame. Currently, she is involved with the Phi Beta Mu International Board of Directors. Her dedication to music education and leadership has made her a respected figure in the music community.
