Esther Kaiser is a German jazz vocalist born in 1975 in Freiburg im Breisgau. She is recognized for her versatile and genre-bending approach to contemporary jazz, and has released several albums including her debut "Jazz Poems" in 2004, followed by "The Moment We Met" (2006), and "Cosy in Bed" (2009). Her music blends elements of jazz with influences from tango nuevo and contemporary music, showcasing both her original compositions and inventive interpretations of instrumental pieces. Esther has collaborated with a range of notable musicians and her career includes international tours, often supported by the Goethe-Institut, taking her music as far as Azerbaijan and Southeast Asia.
Beyond her performing career, Esther Kaiser is also dedicated to music education. Since 2014, she has been a professor of singing, jazz, rock, and pop at the University of Music in Dresden, where she focuses on teaching and coaching students both locally and internationally. She lives in Berlin with her husband and their blended family of three children.
