Vincent van Amsterdam is a renowned Dutch accordionist celebrated for his versatility and innovative approach to the instrument. Born in Haarlem, the Netherlands, he began studying the accordion with his father, Evert van Amsterdam. He has won numerous national and international competitions, including the Dutch Classical Talent Award in 2016 and more recently, the Nederlandse Muziekprijs (Dutch Music Prize). Vincent's repertoire spans a wide range of classical and contemporary music, from Bach and Scarlatti to modern composers like Willem Jeths and Daan Manneke. He actively engages with composers to expand the accordion repertoire and has performed on major stages and festivals across the Netherlands and internationally in countries like France, Italy, and China.
