Les Nubians is a French musical duo made up of sisters Hélène and Célia Faussart. They first caught global attention with their 1998 debut album, Princesses Nubiennes, which blended neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, and African rhythms with lyrics predominantly in French. What set Les Nubians apart was their unique sound and cultural blend—born in France to a French father and Cameroonian mother, the sisters grew up between Europe and Africa, which deeply influenced their music's global fusion and socially conscious themes.
