Charlie Lovell-Jones is a promising young violinist known for his impressive performances with major orchestras across the UK, Ireland, and Japan. Born in 1999, he made his debut at the Royal Festival Hall at just 15 years old, which was a sold-out event. Since then, he has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the English Chamber Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic, and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Lovell-Jones has also been recognized for his leadership role in the Sinfonia of London, garnering critical acclaim from publications like *Gramophone* and Classic FM.
Charlie has won several prestigious awards and competitions, including the Gregynnog Young Musician Competition and the BBC Young Musician Category Finalist. He studied music at Oxford University and later at the Royal Academy of Music, where he received a Bicentenary Scholarship. Currently, he is studying at the Yale School of Music with Augustin Hadelich. Lovell-Jones plays a 1777 G.B. Guadagnini violin on loan from a generous benefactor. His recent releases include *Piercing Silence*, which features music by queer, Black, and female composers, and performances of Walton's orchestral works.
