Vladimir Jurowski is a Russian-British conductor known for his interpretations of Russian and 20th-century music. Born in Moscow in 1972, he studied conducting at the Moscow Conservatory and made his conducting debut at the age of 23. Jurowski has held music director positions with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, and the Staatskapelle Berlin. He is currently the music director of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
