Grateful Dub

Grateful Dub is a unique project that combines the enduring spirit of the Grateful Dead with the vibrant rhythms of reggae-dub music. Led by Roots of Creation (RoC), this tribute project reimagines beloved Grateful Dead songs with a fresh, reggae-infused style. Grateful Dub has been performed live at various festivals, theaters, and clubs across the U.S., featuring special guest appearances from notable artists like Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh), Zach Nugent, and G. Love (G. Love & Special Sauce). Their studio album, which includes collaborations with legendary figures such as 5-time Grammy winner Errol Brown (formerly Bob Marley's sound engineer), became a chart-topper, debuting at #1 on the Reggae Billboard charts.

Some of their recent releases include "Brown Eyed Woman," "Scarlet Begonias," and "Shakedown Street > Casey Jones," all captured live at Sugarshack Sessions. Their versatility is further showcased through tracks like "Friend of the Devil" and an acoustic rendition of "Standing on the Moon." With a lineup that often includes guest performers, Grateful Dub brings an exciting energy to their live shows, celebrating both the reggae and Grateful Dead legacies with infectious enthusiasm.
