Hawa Boussim is a Burkinabé singer born around 1971 in Kipoura, Boulgou Province, Burkina Faso. She began singing for her community at the age of 14, performing at various events like baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Despite not having a complete education, she expresses herself and sings in the Bissa language. In 2009, she won a local cultural contest, which led to her first album, *Môbidoré*, released in 2011. She combines traditional African music with contemporary Afropop, performing in West Africa, Europe, and the United States.
Hawa Boussim gained significant recognition with her second album, *Mingoureza*, released in 2017, which addressed social issues like food waste. She has also been associated with Sony Music and has released several notable tracks, including *Dolada*, *Mobidore (Mo Laudi Remix)*, and *Koregore (Radio Edit)*. Her music reflects her dedication to African culture and her ability to blend traditional rhythms with modern beats, making her a distinct figure in the Afrobeat genre.
