KONGOS

KONGOS is a South African-born, Phoenix-based band that blends alternative rock and kwaito (a genre of music originating from South Africa). The band consists of four brothers: Johnny, Jesse, Dylan, and Daniel Kongos, all of whom are sons of British singer-songwriter John Kongos. They catapulted to fame with their 2011 album "Lunatic," which features the platinum-certified hit "Come With Me Now," a song that showcases their signature blend of rock and South African influences. This track notably achieved recognition in the United States, climbing up the Billboard Alternative charts and receiving extensive radio play and TV synchronizations, marking a significant breakthrough for the band in the international music scene.

Over the years, KONGOS continued to evolve their sound, as evidenced by their subsequent releases including "Egomaniac" (2016) and the ambitious three-part album series "1929" which culminates with "1929, Pt. 3" released alongside its instrumental version. The brothers' ability to produce, engineer, and mix all their music in their own studio provides them with artistic freedom and control over their craft, leading to innovative remixes and a fresh take on their own material such as "Big Life (Kongos Remix)" and "Autocorrect (Rock Remix)." KONGOS not only maintain a loyal fan base through their energetic live performances but also continuously experiment and refine their distinct sound, demonstrating their versatility and creativity as a band.
