Dave Greenslade

Dave Greenslade is a British keyboardist and composer best known as a founding member of the progressive rock bands Colosseum and Greenslade. Emerging in the late 1960s, Greenslade made a name for himself with his distinctive playing style and adventurous compositions that blended rock, jazz, and classical influences. After Colosseum initially disbanded in 1971, he formed his own band, Greenslade, which released several albums in the 1970s and stood out for its fusion-driven sound and absence of lead guitar, leaning heavily instead on keyboards.

Greenslade also pursued solo work, with notable releases like "Cactus Choir" showcasing his talents as both composer and multi-instrumentalist. He later reunited with Colosseum in the 1990s for live performances and recordings, including “The Reunion Concerts 1994.” Over the years, his contributions to progressive rock and jazz fusion have earned him a respected place in the genre’s history. His more recent work, such as collaborations on albums like "G & T," continues to reflect his passion for adventurous musical storytelling.
