The St. Lawrence String Quartet is a Canadian string quartet that has been making beautiful music together for over 30 years. They are known for their passionate and energetic performances, as well as their commitment to new music. The quartet has premiered over 100 new works, and they have collaborated with some of the world's leading composers, including John Adams, Steve Reich, and Philip Glass. The St. Lawrence String Quartet has won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards and the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize. They are currently the quartet-in-residence at Stanford University.
