Guido Plüschke

Guido Plüschke is a multi-instrumentalist from Hamburg, Germany, specializing in Celtic and folk music with a focus on the bodhrán and stringed instruments like the banjo and bouzouki. A co-founder of bands like Celtic Cowboys and Lighthouse Lads, he gained international recognition after placing third at the 2008 World Bodhrán Championships in Ireland, becoming the first non-Irish musician to win a title there. His albums, including *Bodhrán World* (2004) and *From Hamburg to Galway with Bodhrán & Banjo* (2013), blend traditional melodies with innovative arrangements, while *Bodhrán Insight* (2011), a collaboration with Rolf Wagels, highlights the rhythmic depth of Irish frame drums. A dedicated educator, he’s also known for hosting bodhrán workshops across Germany.
