Pro Arte

Pro Arte, an eminent ex-Yugoslav pop band, left a significant imprint on the regional music scene with their intricate melodies and harmonies that unfurled from the late 1960s through the 1970s. Originating from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the group was formed by composer Đorđe Novković alongside vocalist Vladimir Savčić Čobi. Other band members included Nenad Šarić, Zdravko Čolić, Ivan Vragolovich, and Ladislav Balać, each contributing to the ensemble's distinct sound influenced by melodic pop-rock and domestic folk music.

Throughout their active years, Pro Arte managed to release a number of successful hits and albums, leaving behind an enduring legacy within the former Yugoslav pop music territory. Although their tenure was marked by an array of line-up changes and evolutions in musical style, the band excelled at producing emotionally resonant tracks underscored by memorable chord progressions and thoughtful lyrics, which appealed to a broad audience across generational lines. Their body of work, including albums like "Tužna Su Zelena Polja" and "Takav Je Život", resonates with nostalgia and the distinct musical identity of a bygone era, having been revisited and celebrated through various compilations and greatest hits collections such as "The Best of Collection" and "Zlatna Kolekcija".
