SoundFactory

**SoundFactory** is a Swedish dance music act founded by DJ Emil Hellman in 1992. The group gained popularity for its energetic and catchy tunes, often featuring James Gicho (credited as St. James) on vocals. SoundFactory is best known for its number-one dance single "Good Time," which was mixed with StoneBridge. They also had other notable singles like "Understand This Groove" and "2 The Rhythm," which charted on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the mid-1990s. After collaborating on their debut album *Product* in 1994, Gicho left, and Hellman continued SoundFactory as a solo project. Over the years, Emil Hellman has released new versions of their classic tracks and albums, such as *Product 3.0* and *Extended Product*.

SoundFactory's music legacy extends beyond their original era, with recent releases like "Understand This Groove 3.0" and "Summer Of '24 (The 2024 Megamix)" showcasing their enduring influence on the dance scene. Emil Hellman is also recognized for his work under other aliases, including Emil, The Grooveconstructors, and Hysteria, and has contributed to many Swedish music projects as a producer and remixer.
