Ricardo Morales

Ricardo Morales is an internationally acclaimed clarinetist known for his exceptional skill and warm, expressive tone. Currently serving as the Principal Clarinet of the Philadelphia Orchestra—a position he has held with distinction since 2003—Morales has established himself as one of the foremost clarinetists of his generation. Prior to his tenure in Philadelphia, he displayed his prodigious talent as the Principal Clarinet of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, recruited by James Levine at the young age of 21. Morales has also held teaching positions at prestigious institutions, including the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, where he imparts his extensive knowledge to the next generation of clarinet virtuosos.
