The Big Cats

The Big Cats are an American rock band from Little Rock, Arkansas, formed in 1993 by members of various Little Rock punk bands. Over time, they shifted their sound towards early rock and roll, incorporating elements of jangle pop. The band's history has been marked by both tragedy and creative rebirth. In 2000, band member Shannon Yarbrough passed away in an automobile accident, which led to a tribute show and eventually the band regrouping to record new material. Their music includes albums such as *Worrisome Blues* and *On Tomorrow*. *On Tomorrow* received attention for its retro yet timeless sound, blending low-key, earnest jangle pop with a style reminiscent of the post-R.E.M. era.

Their recent releases, such as *The Ancient Art of Leaving: Two Parts* and *The Ancient Art Of Leaving: High & Low*, reflect their continued exploration of rock music. The band's lineup has included notable members like Burt Taggart, Jason White, Josh Bentley, and Colin Brooks. Despite their early punk roots, The Big Cats have carved out a niche in the rock scene with their unique blend of styles.
