Priests

Priests is a post-punk band originating from Washington, D.C., known for their raw energy, socio-politically charged lyrics, and an unapologetic punk ethos. Formed in late 2011 by Katie Alice Greer (vocals), Daniele Daniele (drums), Taylor Mulitz (bass), and G.L. Jaguar (guitar), Priests quickly carved out a space for themselves in the punk rock landscape with a series of well-received releases. Their music is a vibrant concoction of noise, melody, and rebellious spirit, often reflecting on themes of power, consumerism, and identity.

Priests' music has progressively evolved with each new release, demonstrating their ability to push boundaries while maintaining a distinct sound. After their initial foray with cassettes and singles, they garnered significant acclaim for their full-length records, particularly with "Nothing Feels Natural" (2017), which was seen as a critical high-water mark for the band. The subsequent release, "The Seduction of Kansas" (2019), continued to challenge listeners with its thought-provoking content and inventive musicianship. At once both disarmingly danceable and incisively critical, Priests' work raises questions about the very fabric of American life while daring their audience to join them in a powerful, cathartic dialogue.
