Reformed Faction

Reformed Faction is an experimental music project that saw its inception as an offshoot of the influential post-industrial group Zoviet France. Formed by two former Zoviet France members, Mark Spybey and Robin Storey, Reformed Faction carries forward similar themes and sonic landscapes that are characterized by enigmatic soundscapes, ambient textures, and a keen sense for the avant-garde. The group's name itself reflects an evolution of both concept and membership from their previous incarnation, signaling a continuation but also a transformation in musical direction.

Since their formation in the early 2000s, Reformed Faction has been consistently prolific, exploring the frontiers of ambient, electronic, and post-industrial music. Releases such as "The War Against" and "Until..." demonstrate the band's commitment to creating immersive auditory environments that challenge conventional structures and expectations. Their discography, including conceptually-rich works like "I AM the Source of Light, I AM Not a Mirror" and the "Save our Ghosts" series, showcases a bold exploration of themes ranging from political commentary to abstract existentialism. The enigmatic nature of their compositions, coupled with a propensity for crafting layered, textured drones, ensures that Reformed Faction remains a compelling fixture within the realm of experimental sound art.
