Vishtèn

Vishtèn is a dynamic Acadian group hailing from the vibrant Francophone communities of Prince Edward Island and the Magdalen Islands of Eastern Canada. Formed in the early 2000s, the band consists of multi-instrumentalists Emmanuelle and Pastelle LeBlanc from the Magdalen Islands, along with Pascal Miousse from Prince Edward Island. Together, they have not only succeeded in preserving the Francophone musical traditions of their ancestors but revitalized them with a contemporary energy that has captivated audiences worldwide.

On the world stage, Vishtèn is recognized as an ambassador of Francophone folk music, seamlessly blending the essential elements of Acadian music with Celtic and world rhythms. Their discography, including albums such as "Horizons," "Terre Rouge," and "11:11," showcases their unique ability to fuse tight harmonies, foot percussion, and a wide array of instruments—including accordion, guitar, fiddle, piano, bodhrán, and jaw harp—to create a distinctive sonic experience. With their electrifying live shows and deep-rooted passion for their musical heritage, Vishtèn continues to be at the forefront of reimagining traditional sounds for the modern age, garnering them critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base around the globe.
