Easy Star All-Stars

Easy Star All-Stars, an American reggae and dub collective, has been a prominent musical force since their inception in the late 1990s. Founded by Michael Goldwasser, Eric Smith, Lem Oppenheimer, and Remy Gerstein of Easy Star Records, the group is best recognized for their meticulously crafted reggae covers of classic rock and alternative albums. Their debut album, "Dub Side of the Moon" (2003), a reggae re-imagining of Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon," set the stage for their innovative approach to music. Following this, the collective released several more critically acclaimed cover albums, including "Radiodread" (2006), tackling Radiohead's "OK Computer," and "Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band" (2009), a take on The Beatles' iconic album.

The Easy Star All-Stars' unique fusion of genres extends beyond studio recordings into dynamic live performances that captivate audiences worldwide. Their transformations of renowned tracks into reggae-dub masterpieces have earned them a diverse and dedicated fanbase. Along with their successes in reinterpretation, they also sprinkle their discography with original works and collaborative remixes, such as "90s Kids (Michael Goldwasser and Easy Star All-Stars Beach Remix)" and several other tracks remixed by Michael Goldwasser himself, showcasing their versatility within the reggae music scene. The collaboration between Easy Star All-Stars and their co-founder, Goldwasser, continues to explore and expand the boundaries of reggae and its intersections with various music genres.
