Burning Love

Burning Love is a Canadian hardcore punk band that came to life in the fires of fervent musical passion and aggression. Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, the group initially sparked interest in the hardcore scene with their explosively energetic sound and gritty lyrical themes. Fronted by the distinctive voice of Chris Colohan, formerly of the legendary hardcore band Cursed, Burning Love began shaping their identity with their initial Demo - EP release in 2009, which was quickly followed by more ferocious material.

Their debut full-length, "Songs for Burning Lovers," released in 2010, showcased Burning Love's ability to interweave elements of classic rock 'n' roll into the foundation of hardcore, creating a volatile cocktail of heavy riffs and hoarse, shout-along choruses. By the time they put out "Rotten Thing to Say" in 2012, Burning Love had solidified their status within the pantheon of modern hardcore punk bands, with scorching tracks like "Down so Long" and their single "Don't Ever Change" earning them a dedicated fanbase. Throughout their career, the band has remained true to their roots while also evolving in sound, as evidenced by their subsequent releases "The Body / Shallow Grave" and "Black Widow," both of which demonstrate their capacity to deliver relentless, punishing rock with a dark, emotive edge.
