Saphena Trio is a Scottish folk trio that has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 2017. Comprised of three talented musicians—guitarist and vocalist Ewan MacPherson, fiddler and vocalist Calum MacPhee, and cellist and vocalist Innes White—the trio has quickly gained a reputation for their captivating live performances and their unique blend of traditional Scottish folk and contemporary influences. Their music is characterized by intricate arrangements, soaring melodies, and heartfelt lyrics that explore themes of love, loss, and the beauty of the Scottish Highlands.

With their debut album, "Glencoe Sketches," released in 2018, Saphena Trio established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. The album was met with critical acclaim and earned them a nomination for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Since then, they have released several more albums, including "The Diplomat" (2019), "Gratitude Attitude" (2020), and "The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful" (2021). Their music has been featured on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 2, and NPR, and they have performed at prestigious venues such as the Celtic Connections festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
