Olivia Foa'i

Olivia Foa'i is a talented singer, songwriter, and dancer of Tokelauan, Tuvaluan, and British descent. Born in New Zealand, she began her musical journey at a young age as part of her father Opetaia Foa'i's Polynesian fusion band, Te Vaka. With Te Vaka, she toured extensively and featured on several songs, including those for Disney's *Moana* in 2016, where she sang "Tulou Tagaloa" and "Logo Te Pate." Her solo career took off in 2018, and she released her debut album *Candid* in 2019, which won the Tui for Best Pacific Album at the 2020 Aotearoa Music Awards. Olivia is known for blending Polynesian sounds with Western pop and R&B, often incorporating her Tokelauan heritage into her music. In 2023, she released her sophomore album *Tūmau Pea* and was recognized as Best Female Artist at the Pacific Music Awards.

Olivia continues to champion her Pacific Island roots through her music, using her platform to promote endangered languages like Tokelauan. Her song "Mai Anamua" was featured as the theme for the documentary *Pacific Mother*, highlighting her commitment to cultural preservation. Currently, she is working on the soundtrack for *Moana 2* alongside her family. Olivia's music is celebrated for its unique blend of modern and traditional influences, making her one of the most prominent figures in Pacific music today.
