Philipp Schupelius

Philipp Schupelius is a talented young cellist born in Berlin in 2003. He began his cello journey at the age of eight under the guidance of Ulrich Voss. Schupelius made his debut in 2017 with Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations alongside the Bergische Symphoniker, a performance that was broadcast by WDR. Since then, he has become a celebrated figure in the classical music scene, performing as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe. Notable performances include appearances at the Tonhalle Zurich, the Philharmonie Berlin, and the Dresden Music Festival. Philipp has also been recognized for his achievements in several competitions, including the German Music Competition in 2023 and the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest in 2022.

In recent years, Philipp Schupelius has released several notable works, including "PAU A Tribute to Casals," which was released in September 2023. This album reflects his deep exploration of the musical legacy of Pablo Casals. Schupelius continues to study at the Kronberg Academy under Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, with his studies supported by the Sodalitas patronage.
