Novisad

Novisad is the performance name of Kristian Peters, a German electronic music artist. Born in 1980 and based in Rostock, Germany, Peters began producing music in the winter of 1993/94. Initially focusing on hard techno, his style evolved to become more experimental and ambient over time. Novisad's music is characterized by its unconventional approach, often described as a state rather than a genre, with titles serving as superficial clues to the deeper meaning found within the music itself. Some of his notable releases include "Novisad" (1998), "Adlib" (1999), "Seleya" (2001), and "Funkel" (2009).

Novisad's journey to recognition began when he sent a demo to Jörg Follert of Karaoke Kalk in 1998, leading to his first CD release in January 1999. His work has been praised for its evocative and immersive qualities, often drawing comparisons to other experimental artists. Despite the ambient nature of his music, Peters himself does not categorize it as such, instead emphasizing its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions and states.
