Mind's Eye

Mind's Eye is a progressive metal band from Sweden, known for their intricate and adventurous musicianship. Formed in 1992 by Johan Niemann (bass), Daniel Flores (drums & keyboards), and Fredrik Grünberger (guitar), the band began as a local group in Stockholm. They initially performed under the name Afterglow, producing a self-financed demo that garnered attention from the Swedish press. Over the years, Mind's Eye has evolved through various lineup changes, including the addition of different vocalists, such as Andreas Novak. The band released several albums, including *Into the Unknown* (1998), *A Work of Art* (2001), and *Walking on H2O* (featuring Novak on vocals). Their music often incorporates elements reminiscent of the 1970s and 1980s progressive rock, with a focus on melodic intricacy and high-energy performances.

Some of their notable releases include *1994: The Afterglow*, *A Gentleman's Hurricane*, and *Waiting for the Tide (+2)*. The band's history reflects a dedication to their craft, with members also pursuing music education at the Stockholm Music Conservatory alongside their professional endeavors.
